The North American Aviation P-51 Mustang fighter-bomber served in both the U.S. and Royal Air Force through two wars. During World War II, U.S. triple ace Clarence "Bud" Anderson flew a P-51D named Old Crow, after the whiskey. The plane took him safely through 116 missions without being hit by enemy fire. This beautifully detailed 1:24-scale model of Old Crow was hand-carved from Philippine mahogany and finished and painted by hand. A plate on the custom wooden base bears the signature of Col. Anderson. Ages 12 and up. Measures 16.2"L x 18.25" wingspan. Imported.
