Product Details

In the early 1940s, as many as 24,000 people worked at the massive North American Aviation factory near Fairfax Airport, on the shores of the Missouri River. They built an unprecedented 6,608 aircraft, and the B-25 Mitchell served with distinction in every theater of World War II. Pilot and former Boeing manager John Fredrickson tells the story of the factory, the people, and the planes behind this remarkable achievement, illustrated with more than 200 black-and-white images.
