Fly with a legend. This highly detailed 1:72-scale die-cast metal model represents a North American Aviation F-86F Sabre Jet flown by future astronaut and U.S. senator John Glenn. The F-86 Sabre Jet was America's first swept-wing fighter and entered the U.S. Air Force fleet in 1949, where it played an important role fighting Soviet MiG-15s during the Korean War. NAA produced nearly 10,000 of the speed-record-setting planes. U. S. Marines Major Glenn flew 27 combat missions in Korea on an F-86F known as MiG Mad Marine (named for his zeal to shoot down MiGs). This special model features engraved panel lines, a sliding canopy, removable pilot figure, fully equipped cockpit, detailed afterburning engine nozzle, wing-mounted drop tanks, optional-position landing gear, and authentic markings. Presentation stand is included. Ages 14 and up. Measures approximately 6.75"L x 6.25" wingspan. Imported.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund (all sales are final on Clearance merchandise; no returns accepted). We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc. Please contact us before returning).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
