This eye-catching table represents best practices in aviation and environmental progress. The 757 ecoDemonstrator was part of an ongoing Boeing-industry program investigating ways to improve commercial airliners' environmental performance by reducing emissions and noise and enhancing fuel and aerodynamic efficiency. The 757 ecoDemonstrator was retired in 2015, and the parts are now being recycled into pieces like this one. The top of the table is made from the gently curved front nose-gear door from the ecoDemonstrator. The door has been carefully cleaned and buffed and topped with a half-inch sheet of polished glass. The original paint remains, complete with a red stripe and the personal insignia of one of the plane's maintenance crews. The base and legs of the table are custom-crafted from steel removed from the ecoDemonstrator. A Certificate of Authenticity is included. Measures 53"L x 23"W x 18"H. Weighs 88 lb (uncrated). Made in USA. *NOTE: This artifact is sold as is with no guarantee that parts maintain original function. Not for flight use.
