Beauty and science come together in this unique artifact. It's made from a genuine Pratt & Whitney J57 engine blade used in a Boeing B-52 Stratofortress bomber. Powered by eight 17,000-pound-thrust turbofan engines, the mighty 390,000-pound B-52 was the United States' first long-range, swept-wing heavy bomber. This special centennial-edition artifact has been cleaned and polished to a satin-smooth metallic finish. It is set into a solid piece of machined aluminum that has been given a metallic gloss-black finish, with the official Boeing centennial mark laser-engraved into the surface. A Custom Hangar plaque is affixed to the underside of the base, and a Certificate of Authenticity is included. Each piece is unique and may vary slightly from photograph. Measures approximately 8"H x 5" in diameter. Weighs approximately 1.69 lb. Made in U.S.A. *NOTE: This artifact is sold as is with no guarantee that parts maintain original function. Not for flight use.*
