The beauty of this stunning table is more than skin-deep. At its center is a salvaged engine spinner from a mighty Boeing B-52 Stratofortress bomber. Powered by eight Pratt & Whitney TF-33 turbofan engines, this 390,000-pound jet was the United States' first long-range, swept-wing heavy bomber. The bullet-shaped engine spinner is a fairing placed over the center of the engine to reduce drag and smooth airflow for more efficient air intake. This artifact saw thousands of hours of service and has been stripped, cleaned, and hand-polished to a mirror finish and fitted with a solid mahogany frame and glass top. Custom Hangar plaque and Certificate of Authenticity included. Measures 31"H x 37" in diameter overall; table top height 19". Weighs 52 lb. Made in U.S.A. *NOTE: This artifact is sold "as is" with no guarantee that parts maintain original function. Not for flight use.*
