B-52 Stratofortress Engine Spinner Coffee Table - Metal
The sleek Art Deco lines of this table show the true beauty of aerodynamic design. At the center of the table is an actual engine spinner from a mighty Boeing B-52 Stratofortress bomber. Powered by eight Pratt & Whitney TF-33 turbofan engines, this 390,000-pound jet was the United States' first long-range, swept-wing heavy bomber. The bullet-shaped engine spinner is placed over the center of the engine to reduce drag and smooth airflow for more efficient air intake. This artifact saw thousands of hours of service and has been stripped, cleaned, and hand-polished to a mirror finish, then fitted with a glass top and machined aluminum frame that echoes aircraft structure design and hardware. Custom Hangar plaque and Certificate of Authenticity included. Measures 31"H x 37" in diameter overall; table top height 19". Weighs approximately 30 lb. Made in U.S.A. *NOTE: This artifact is sold "as is" with no guarantee that parts maintain original function. Not for flight use.*
