The Boeing B-29 Superfortress was a four-propeller long-range heavy bomber that saw action in the Pacific during World War II. Boeing and other contractors built nearly 4,000 of the big planes. It was the first bomber to offer fully pressurized crew sections. B-29s continued to serve the military until the plane's retirement in 1960. The B-29 known as Raz'n Hell flew more than 50 combat missions with the 28th Bomb Squadron 19th Bomb Group out of Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan, during the Korean War. This gleaming 1:144-scale die-cast model of Raz'n Hell includes authentic nose art and features details such as engraved panel lines and access panels, a simulated cockpit, rotating propellers, optional-position landing gear, and authentic USAAF markings and paint scheme. Presentation stand is included. Ages 14 and up. Measures approximately 8.25"L x11.75" wingspan. Imported.
