Product Details

Own history with an authentic rudder pedal from the Queen of the Skies: the Boeing 747 jumbo jet. Since its first flight on February 9, 1969, the 747 fleet has flown 3.5 billion people - the equivalent of more than half the world's population. Improvements in the 747-400 over earlier 747 models include the addition of winglets to reduce drag, new avionics, and a new flight deck. The 747-400 has a range of approximately 7,260 nautical miles and serves more than 210 airports worldwide. This rudder pedal is from a 747-400 operated from 1993 to its retirement, logging 83,758 flight hours and 11,635 flight cycles. Refurbished and set on a shiny aluminum stand, this pedal is one of a limited number available for private purchase at this time; it would make a striking display for home or office. This special-edition pedal includes a custom mini-plaque displaying the signature of 747 Chief Engineer Joe Sutter, who is known as the "father of the 747." Certificate of Authenticity included. Actual pedal may vary slightly from photograph. Measures approximately 13" x 12" (stand) x 13.25"H (size and weight may vary). *This item includes special shipping rates that will appear on the final screen of checkout.* Made in U.S.A. NOT FOR FLIGHT USE.
