The four-engine Boeing 707 was the first in the 7-7 series of jetliners. The swept-wing plane, the first production model of which had its first flight on December 20, 1957, remains an icon of aviation achievement. The 707 was powered by four Pratt & Whitney JT3 turbojet engines. Pratt & Whitney made more than 8,000 of the turbofan engines for commercial and military applications. This table has a base made from the exhaust case from a 707 JT3 engine. The case has been cleaned, polished to a gleaming finish, welded to a custom base, and fitted with a round class tabletop. A Certificate of Authenticity is included. Measures 16"H x 41" in diameter at tabletop. Weighs 80 pounds (uncrated).
